Adaptation to Climate Change for Improving Public Health in Vietnam

Tuan Anh Le

Abstract

Climate change is a global phenomenon. Its consequences may have both positive and negative effects to human health and environmental health, but on balance health damages are projected to outweigh the benefits1. The combination of unexpected rising population, energy costs, scare resources, environmental pollution and considerable uncertainties about the higher frequency trends of extreme natural disasters and abnormal climate change is creating critical challenges for the whole health care system services.
